Beast mode had very few opportunities last night.

Comment on 3 Reasons Why Cougs May Not Be Bowl-Bound…(just bein’ real) by Ben Staehr http://nofairweatherfans.com/2013/09/24/3-reasons-why-cougs-may-not-be-bowl-bound-just-bein-real/#comment-1436 Tue, 24 Sep 2013 20:11:30 +0000 http://nofairweatherfans.com/?p=2496#comment-1436 My thoughts… the Cougs did give up over 200 yds rushing on USC, however made stops when they needed to, and other than a short yardage TD, USC didn’t score an offensive TD. The USC offense is no cupcake and that was a solid defensive battle by the Cougs.

With that said, Conner needs to finally grow into the shoes left by Tuel. I’m thinking one breakout game and the kid finally comes into his own and stops making mistakes. Granted, no altogether, he’s no Peyton or Tom, but I think he significantly cuts down on his errant passes and poor decisions.

All in all, I think we’re close, and based on the interviews with some of the players on CF.C this week, they’re gelling and oozing confidence. If you weren’t at the last 2 minutes of the Idaho game, you really missed out on a “come together” moment for the team. The big goal line stand by the defense had EVERYONE in that stadium going nuts. Defense, Offense, and about 10,000 of us that stayed to the end. It was huge and the confidence level couldn’t be higher heading into our real test this weekend. If ever we were to pull a big upset this season, I think this week is it. Go Cougs!

Comment on Hey Sacramento Fans, for real…. by DFROST http://nofairweatherfans.com/2013/08/16/hey-sacramento-fans-for-real/#comment-1411 Mon, 19 Aug 2013 16:15:49 +0000 http://nofairweatherfans.com/?p=2445#comment-1411 Never really understood the appeal of trying to get the Kings up here. Are we really that hard up for an NBA team that we are willing to grossly overpay for a failing franchise that looks in no way like they are anywhere near coming out of the basement. And we were gonna pull them from a city that only has one major sports franchise to root for. From the beginning I hoped that they would keep the team, I was just happy that we put Stern’s corrupt ass on his heels and showed the rest of the league that we are serious about getting a team. But don’t get us wrong, we want a team, but I don’t think anyone’s first choice was the Kings. Enjoy your NorCal basketball, if that’s what you are calling it.

Actually, the initial information suggests he lied, saying he plunked down some 10,000,000 pennies during the heat of battle while trying to steal away the Kings, but the documents show the petition group was paid over a month after the NBA vote. Oops.

If money talked the NBA train would be in Seattle. It isn’t. It won’t. There’s no rivalry because Seattle had a team but fumbled it away. Seattle fans can always come to NorCal where there are two NBA teams within 75 miles of each other. Deal with it.

Comment on The Mascot Games – NFC West Edition by badut maskot http://nofairweatherfans.com/2013/02/20/the-mascot-games-nfc-west-edition/#comment-1288 Sat, 15 Jun 2013 21:47:02 +0000 http://nofairweatherfans.com/?p=2134#comment-1288 i am writing an opening for our yearbook, but i am having writer’s block…the name of the yearbook is Linked as One, and our maskot is the hornet. I am trying to make it be about being connected as one…how can i make it sound better?

a hornet cannot survive alone in nature. hornets must work as a unit, as a single entity, to ensure that the dominion which they meticulously rule is fruitful. Each and every hornet is vital to the success of the colony; no role is insignificant. each one of these roles is a link in the interconnected chain. Although the Hornets of Pelham High School may not have realized it in the beginning, they were all connected in some way. Each team, each clique, each individual was a small part of the big picture

what can i say next?
